The modern age developed knowledge but at the expense of wisdom. The result has been ecological disaster,
destitution for the indigenous peoples everywhere, loneliness and a loss of meaning and shared values in our lives.
Religions have too often promoted an exclusivism which has rent the human family apart and separated us from what unites us.. We need a spirituality which brings wisdom back to our relationship with nature, to our work, to our educational systems, to “all our relations.” One that speaks to the “aching hearts” of the younger generation.
In the Friday evening lecture Matthew Fox will explore how Creation Spirituality can help us move to hope by
awakening us to our divine origins, to the new creation story from science, to eco-justice and gender justice, to the wisdom shared in faith traditions of East and West and of indigenous peoples everywhere.
In the Saturday workshop we will continue this exploration through dance and through reflections on the Cosmic Christ and also the awakening of the Divine Feminine and the Sacred Masculine and how we can unleash the creativity that leads to sustainability.. A new balance of Yin and Yang, Feminine and Masculine, is needed. In these ways we can be transformative agents of healing and wholeness in the 21st Century.
