Last Chance:
Join the Presiding Bishop at our May Conference!

It’s not too late to join The Most Rev. Dr. Katharine Jefferts Schori, Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church, at our Spring Conference this Saturday, May 2. Bishop Jefferts Schori will speak, lead an interactive discussion and take questions in the last official visit of her nine-year term.

St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Saratoga is hosting the conference; its theme is “Maturing in Mission: Growing into the Full Stature of Christ.” Bishop Jefferts Schori will speak on viewing mission through the lens of the Five Marks (see below), and how we understand mission as God’s work in which we partner.

In the afternoon she will join Bishop Mary Gray-Reeves for an interactive Q&A session. The conference begins at 10 am and ends at 3:30 pm (coffee and snacks at 9:30 am). Cost is $25, which includes lunch. Don’t wait — the conference is limited to just 200 attendees!

The Presiding Bishop is chief pastor to the Episcopal Church’s 2.1 million members in 17 countries and 109 dioceses, ecumenical officer, and primate, joining leaders of the other 38 Anglican Provinces in consultation for global good and reconciliation. She was elected at the 75th General Convention on June 18, 2006, and invested at Washington National Cathedral on November 4, 2006.

The California trip will be Bishop Jefferts Schori’s final visit before her nine-year term ends in June at the conclusion of the Episcopalian General Convention in Salt Lake City.
